- A I don't think there is any claim on the Atkins shakes to be healthy in the sense that they promote good health. The shakes fit into a certain way of eating. It is up to the consumer to decide whether this drink fits into their particular eating plan and whether they find this ingredient to be something they feel is safe to consume or not. The manufacturers are not obligated to change the ingredients. If a consumer feels an ingredient is not something they want to ingest they are free to not buy the product.

- A It is a little thick. It tastes like vanilla but I find it best if I put it in the freezer for a few minutes before drinking. Never freeze it. It changes the composition. Over these are very good. The strawberry is the least of my favorite, Chocolate milk is the best.

So, everything you see in your grocery store produce section is GMO by some means, even in the organic section! Anything living or derived from a living thing is GMO, even things labeled non-GMO (except salt,that’s definitely not genetically modified as it is a mineral & doesn’t have genes). These shakes do have products derived from living things, and therefore does contain products from genetically modified organisms. They're also pretty tasty!

- A No. However I am mildly lactose intolerant and since the amt is so low I have no problem with these.
- A These are great with 15 grams protein. They use sucralose which is Splenda. Totally worth it and you should also check out Costco for premier protein which has 30 grams protein with the same 1 sugar

- A Absolutely, this makes a great creamer. I've been using this as a substitute for cream for over a yr. now. As with most things, it is a preference, but I now like it better than cream. It is certainly lower in calories. It also has a good body in the coffee. I love the French Vanilla plain, so using in coffee is a win for me. I accidentally purchased a chocolate flavor and it wasn't bad.

- A This is an old question but someone reading this may get the wrong information. These are NOT lactose free. I am lactose intolerant and hoped I could tolerate these shakes, but I cannot. I tried both the vanilla and the mocha, and I couldn't get through half of either without feeling the effects. I wish they would make a lactose free version.
