  1. Q Will this work on a textured tile? It has a rougher feel. Has anyone used it on that?
    A It doesnt work well with textured tile.
  2. Q what is the diameter of the suction cups? (i.e., what are the minimal dimensions of the tiles suction cups will adhere to)
    A They will adhere to standard 4x4 bath tiles.
  3. Q does it swivel
    A The joint in the middle of the item does swivel. The joint is made of two disc that face each other, with teeth that lock together so that you can position it at any angle.
  4. Q Will it stick to ceramic tiles?
    A Probably not. Must be attached to very slick surface so that air cannot seep slowly under the large suction cups. Most ceramic tiles are porous and won't hold suction, some have a glazed surface and these may work. Tiles must by at least four inches by four inches, suction cups must NOT mount, or even touch, grout lines. My use is on fiberglass, smooth, no grout lines, and even this usage sometimes will break suction. I have found that wiping both surfaces (suction cups and mounting surface) with white vinegar prior to attachment makes for a longer hold. WARNING - pay attention to the manufacturer's warnings; do not put your full weight on any of these to PULL yourself up and; test it just prior to EVERY use, they sometimes let loose between uses.
  5. Q Will this adhere to a painted plaster board wall?
    A Probably not very well. If you pulled on it much it would probably tear off the paint or the top paper layer of the Sheetrock. True plaster might hold up better if it wasVery smooth. IMHO, I wouldn't trust it to prevent a fall...

    A As long as this item is placed on a non-porous flat surface you will have no issue in mounting it. May I ask what the application for this will be?
  8. Q The tiles on my shower are less than 4". I purchased one that required the tiles to be 4" and it didn't work. Will this one work for my shower tiles?
    A The suction cups are 3 3/4" it should work if your tiles are 4".
