  1. Lactose is about dairy products. Whey protein is a dairy product. This has no lactose. However, most people with lactose nonpersistence (only 1 in 10) retain some lactose activity and can include varying amounts of lactose in their diets without experiencing any symptoms. In fact, the majority of people with lactose maldigestion do not even exhibit lactose intolerance. Finally, whey protein has little to no lactose (less than 1%). Whey also has calcium and vitamin D that you burn during exercise. Many people avoid drinking milk in fear of getting sick when their stomachs could most likely handle more than they think as per the NIH. The only thing more likely to be wrongly self-diagnosed is problems with gluten (only 1 in 10,000). The number of people avoiding gluten but not having real issues more than tripled between 2009 and 2014. Gluten binding is what allows a muffin to rise. To make a muffin without nutritious gluten requires harsh man-made chemicals (and this is high in sodium). But, it has to be gluten free for the looneys who falsely believe it's important. Avoiding wheat, barley and rye in the belief that a gluten-free diet brings health benefits may do more harm than good, according to nutrition experts. So no, this product does not have any gluten or lactose. It is also "organic" for that group think. It is not possible to eat a vegan diet and get everything your body needs - so you should be taking artificial supplements. Moreover, gluten reduces the risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, and many other chronic diseases. Whey protein has calcium and vit D, important in recovery. They are typically deficient in those not eating dairy products and whey again has little or no lactose, so it's one of the best sources.
