- I've had these on Subscribe & Save for years. I've tasted each flavor, and the one I have delivered regularly is the one I believe is their best tasting flavor—the Frosty Chocolate. There is no chalky aftertaste when you're finished drinking it. There is no metallic or otherwise funny taste. Simply put, it tastes very chocolaty and delicious.While it technically isn't designed to be a meal replacement per se, it is, in fact, perfectly fine to use as a meal replacement for a small to medium sized meal. For example, today I knew I had lunch with friends scheduled at 12:00 noon. Therefore, instead of my usual breakfast of a banana, cinnamon raisin toast, and Jimmy Dean's breakfast bowl, I just grabbed a banana and one of these shakes to provide me with some protein and calories, even though I know it was relatively low in calories.
