About this item
- Caffeine: Red Leaf Pre Workout contains 40 milligrams of pure caffeine per serving for a mild, gentle energizing boost without jitters or an energy crash
- Beta-Alanine: 1.0 grams of beta alanine per serving for improved muscle endurance and stamina. This amino acid activates a natural histamine response in the body, which may result in a tingling, itching feeling. With continued use, this sensation will diminish.
- BCAA’s: Red Leaf Preworkout contains 1,000 milligrams branched chain amino acids per serving, which help your muscles recover after exercise
- Red Leaf Pre-Workout is a healthy, clean alternative to over-caffeinated pre workout powders and energy drinks, and is also enjoyed as a replacement for coffee
- Red Leaf is a family-owned company whose products are produced in a GMP Certified Facility in the United States

Questions and answers of the customers
- A Hi there: This is Jeff from ISN, makers of Red Leaf. It tastes awesome! But no worries, you don't have to take our word for it. If you try RL and decide you don't like it, just email me at [email protected] and I'll process a refund. Thanks for your interest and I hope you'll give it a try. Best wishes,JeffISN PS - I just downed by morning RL mixed with coconut water. Epic.
- A Hi Brandon:Each serving contains 40mg of caffeine - about the same as small cup of coffee. Please let us know any other questions. Thanks,JeffISN (makers of Red Leaf)
- A Thanks for your question. It should be perfectly fine to pre-mix it the night before. Just give it a good shake before you drink it!
- A Since it is not a liquid, I believe it would be acceptable. However, to be certain, you should check TSA guidelines at https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all
- A Hello Morgan,This product is not certified vegan because the BCAA comes from a non-vegan source. All of the other ingredients are vegan though. Best wishes,JeffISN
- A I use this as my morning energy drink and i love it! i dont get any crash or jitters or anything. ive been using it for 3 years now.
- A Hello. This is Claire with ISN. This is very dependent on how you respond to caffeine and beta-alanine. Red Leaf Pre-Workout contains a mild dose of both to give you just enough of a boost for your workout, but won't give you the jitters or make you crash hours later. We have customers of all shapes and sizes and many of them take just one scoop and that does the trick for them. Others will use 1.5-2 scoops if they are a little more caffeine tolerant. I personally usually use one heaping scoop (I am a 6'0" female and I do intense CrossFit daily) for 99% of my workouts. On some particularly grueling workouts, I will take two scoops. The best way to know for sure is to experiment with both and see which you prefer! I hope that helps!
- A Hi Frank,This is Jeff from ISN (makers of Red Leaf). Patrick is correct, it works great for men and women. It's milder than many other pre-workouts that have massive amounts of stimulants. It tastes yummy too. Give it a try, and if you don't like it just contact me at [email protected]. Best wishes for a fit and healthy new year. Sincerely,JeffISN
- A Hi Rocky,There is about 4 grams of protein from amino acids, which equates to about 16 calories per serving. Please let us know any other questions. Best regards,JeffISN (makers of Red Leaf)
- A Hi there,This is Jeff from ISN (makers of Red Leaf). The BCAA's in Red Leaf are not certified vegan because they technically come from an animal source. Everything else is vegan. Hope that helps. Feel free to email me at [email protected] with any other questions. Best wishes!JeffISN
- A Same here. I drink coffee every morning and have tried a variety of other pre workouts. This is the first one that doesn't make my heart race, but still provides lasting energy (workouts for me are an hour at a time). I'm currently on my third bottle. I may be building up a bit of a tolerance and using about two scoops now, but I'm 250lbs so I wouldnt recommend that for everyone. Hope this helps.
- A Hi there,This is Jeff from ISN (makers of Red Leaf). Sorry to hear there was no scoop. A serving size is roughly 1 tsp slightly rounded. Please email me at [email protected], we'd like to further address the lack of scoop in that bottle and I have a couple questions. Thanks so much for giving Red Leaf a try.
- A Hi there,I'm so sorry for the delay in answering, I had missed this question. We used sucralose because it tasted best, given that there is caffeine and green tea in this product - which can be very bitter. We tried Stevia but that didn't work, very bitter. It's a small amount of sucralose, only 90 mg per serving. Literally a pinch of Splenda. But we know some athletes are looking for alternate sweeteners and we are looking into monk fruit. We use that in the greens product we just launched and it tastes great. That product has no caffeine though so it's easier to flavor. We are still experimenting and I don't have an idea of how soon we would be changing the formula. Thanks for your question and it is something we are actively looking into based on customer feedback.Best regards,JeffISN
- A Hi there, This is Jeff from ISN (makers of Red Leaf). Sometimes in high moisture environments the powder can clump (although it doesn't happen often). Putting in fridge or freezer might actually make it worse. Best to make sure the cap is always on tight, then shake the bottle before using. Any clumps should break up fairly easily - and will still dissolve well in water when stirred. Hope that helps. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] with any questions. We want to make sure you're totally happy with the product. Thanks,JeffISN
- A sweat means your body is trying to cool off. Here a nice link. http://www.popsugar.com/fitness/Does-Sweating-Mean-Youre-Burning-More-Calories-1655873
- A Hi everyone,This is Jeff from Integrated Sports Nutrition. We formulated and produce Red Leaf Pre-Workout Energizer. The supplement facts panels for dietary supplements are a little different than for regular food products. Sorry for any confusion. There is 0 grams sugar and 0 carbs. To be super precise, there is a trace amount of carbs from the natural lime flavoring, but it rounds down to 0 (per FDA labeling guidelines). The sweetness comes from the combo of natural flavoring and the sweetener - which is sucralose. Sucralose is the same thing as Splenda (the yellow packets you see at Starbucks). But we use very little of that, less than the equivalent of 1/5 a pack of Splenda. It's the combo of these various ingredients that makes the product taste sweet - even though it has 0 sugar. It was a painstaking flavoring process that took over 1 year to get right. It's because anything with any green tea or caffeine in it is nasty. So covering that up without using a ton of flavoring and sweetener is a bear. But we did it, using a very minimal amount of flavoring and sucralose. Hope you like it. Feel free to email me at [email protected] with any questions at all. Best regards,JeffISN
- A Hey Michael, short answer: Red Leaf doesn't have any creatine. Longer answer: that's why my wife got it, because it does have beta alanine, which is great for high intensity interval type training and for when I play basketball. I also use it for after-workout recovery. I found out about Red Leaf because I started with ISN's other pre-workout drink, Hydro HIT, which does have creatine and is better for straight up strength exercise. I've even started mixing them which gives me a heavy duty pre-workout, but still keeps the caffeine dose reasonable. That's probably more than you asked for, but I really love these drinks, so it's easy to get me going! :)
- A Hi there,This is Jeff from ISN (makers of Red Leaf Pre-Workout). Red Leaf is creatine-free. It's primary ingredient is beta-alanine, which helps fuel high-intensity training. Please let us know any other questions. Feel free to email me at [email protected]. Best wishes,JeffISN
- A Hi Christine,Ingredients are sourced from a variety of countries, including the US and China (for some of the Amino Acids). All ingredients are sourced from GMP-certified facilities and processed in a GMP-certified facility. Raw materials are all tested to for micros and heavy metals. Then the finished blend it tested again for micros, heavy metals, and potency. Amino Acids are not typically available in organic form, as they are not agricultural products. The cranberry and green tea are not from certified organic sources at this time, although this is something we're looking into. While we're on the topic, we have a greens powder launching next month that features certified organic grass blend and certified organic cranberry. Please be on the lookout for that. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] with any other questions. Best wishes,JeffISN (makers of Red Leaf supplements)
- A No. You're fine. Unless of course you have some sort of medical condition to consider.
- A Hi there,This is Jeff from ISN. Currently Red Leaf has just a pinch of sucralose (90mg). We don't have immediate plans to reformulate, however we are experimenting with monk fruit for the future. We'll see how that goes. Thanks for your interest. Best regards, Jeff ISN
- A I'm not sure. I can tell you thay the ingredients are L-glutamine, beta alanine, l-arginine, l-leucine, l-valine, cranberry extract, green tea extract, rasberry ketones and caffeine which is 40mg per serving. It doesn't say anything about it it being NCAA compliant... I only have a few sample packs left and not sure if the original package said anything about it
- A I've used one entire container of it so far without negative side effect. http://isnlabs.com is the site for the product, they use male and female models in their imagery and make no specific recommendations on limitations by gender. I'd say you're safe.
- A Oh my god yes. I only took 1 scoop. I feel like 1000 ants are biting me all at one time on my hands and feet- like pin pricks & itching. Hope it subsides soon!!
