Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A No it won't work. Milk has an enzyme and hemp doesn't. This won't even replace flour. It can piggy back in small portions to recipes but will probably cause consistency problems.
  2. A I've only used this regular organic hemp protein powder mixed with other organic powders to off set the taste. The taste is pretty straight up hemp. how I mix it with other powders and add coconut sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, non GMO pea powder and so on. Good luck and say health.
  3. A I mix this with about 10 pounds of other powdered super foods to get my own self customized morning power shake. I divide it into containers that hold about a 15 day supply, and freeze all the rest of the containers, just leaving the current container in my pantry. I find this keeps everything in good condition. So, depending on how fast you use it, I would recommend refrigerating or freezing it.
  4. A Yes, it's a very fine powder. Yes, it blends just fine into smoothies -- but it does NOT dissolve in fluid. I've used it for years in green smoothies, and it works great. Almond milk, ice cubes, hemp protein, almond butter, banana, greens, blend on high for 60 seconds, and you've got a complete meal. It'll never taste as good as a pizza, but it'll fill you up and make you healthier.
  5. A I wouldn't say what the "official" shelf life would be but when I open the bag I pour some into a jar and keep it in the refrigerator. The bag I then put in the freezer. When the jar is empty I fill it again. Under those circumstances a life of a year seems more than reasonable, perhaps longer but I'm usually through the bag in much less than that.
  6. A Thank you for your inquiry. The Organic Hemp Protein Hi Fiber is 37% protein, 40% fiber (90% insoluble, 10% soluble), magnesium, iron and zinc, and beneficial fats. One serving provides 11 grams of raw organic protein and 12 grams of fiber (48% DV). Therefore, 1.2 grams of soluble fiber and 10.8 grams of insoluble fiber. 7. A I agree with this question label says 12g fiber then at the bottom says "not a significant" amount of fiber. IF it were only 8 it would still be a significant amount of fiber, but at 12 g (which would make it carb neutral as the verbiage states, so it would have to be equal to the number of carbs) then it's nearly half the recommended daily amount, which is by all means significant. Something is fishy.
  8. A Grown in Canada. It is illegal to grow in US. Packaged in California. Great protein source from a "super food".
  9. A You will have to contact Amazon directly in regards to any free shipping inquiries.
  10. A Powdered foods have NO sprout-able seeds. "Organic", indicates that supposedly, by law, it has -not- been irradiated, nor sprayed or grown using any chemicals.AND it needs refrigerated to extend it's shelf-life--which also indicates it's the real organic, not irradiated. That said, ANY produce, even organics, per FDA laws: "if produce is processed in any way even simple field-washing--like a bucket of water at the edge of the field, in which to wash off dirt, then, it doesn't have to be labeled when they irradiate it." Clues: soft-skinned fruit, like cherries, may have very tiny, almost microscopic pock-marks all over the skins.IF you want hemp seeds to sprout, there's State and/or Federal laws, permits, etc., to follow, as most countries forbid growing hemp, even the non-drug kinds used for food and other products paper, cloth, rope, building materials, etc.. But this product seems to be just as it is labeled--organic, clean, powdered hemp-plants.
  11. A Hi, on my bag it states 8 g fiber, 32% daily requirements. If that's not a a significant source then what is? It also says it's not a significant amount.
  12. A It will absolutely NOT show up positive for marijuana. It does not have the active ingredient in marijuana that makes you "high" (THC). It only contains the nutritious benefits such as the protien, amino acids and omega 3 and 6. It will not get you high or fail a drug test.
  13. A This stuff is ground hemp, used nutritionally to enhance fibre in the guy. NOW WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ONE WANT TO PUT IT IN BATH SALTS???
  14. A the Nutiva site says that their hemp is cultivated in Canada.
  15. A I don’t see any listed in the package
  16. A The best way to use our Organic Hemp Seed Protein is in smoothies. It is best blended with a banana and/or frozen fruit, plus a non-dairy milk such as coconut milk. This helps achieve a creamy texture and adds great flavor. You can also add it to pancake and waffle mixes, sprinkle over oatmeal, or add to homemade protein bars. 17. A Hi Jeffrey. Good Question: The correct answer is that in this blend NUTIVA sifts more NATURAL fiber from the hemp seeds no other ingredients are added into the mix, which changes the ratios of the protein to account for the added fiber (12g of fiber and 11g of protein per serving , whereas the regular Hemp Protein blend is (9g of fiber and 15g of protein). Hope this clarifies confusion.
  18. A Nutiva's organic hemp protein powders are made with whole, raw hemp seeds that have had the oil expeller pressed from them. This process removes about 90% of the oil content out of the seeds. The resulting seed cake is then cold milled and sifted to varying degrees to make hemp protein powder with the two different levels of fiber and protein, the Organic Hemp Protein 15g and Organic Hemp Protein Hi Fiber.
