Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A There are many reasons, one of the most common reason is sometimes the manufacture has an overrun of flavors and sells those flavors cheaper to us so in turn we sell them cheaper to you.
  2. A I believe it is because most athletes and healthy whey protein users just like vanilla better due to it's lesser calories. Chocolate has 160 calories /scoop. That's high.
  3. A Our MET-Rx Natural Whey Chocolate contains a protein blend of whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate. We recommend avoiding mixing the powder with hot liquid and to keep it stored at room temperature, as excessive heat may potentially denature the proteins. Thank you for your interest in MET-Rx!
  4. A I heard that it changed somehow. The Met Rx chocolate is the only protein powder or drink that I can drink because the others are so bad. When I mix the powder with Plain non-fat Greek yogurt, it tastes like chocolate pudding and no clumps.
  5. A I have the 5 lb container and it supplies 68 scoops per 5 lbs. I would assume a 10 lb container would double to 136 servings.
  6. A I haven't tried Vanilla yet. The chocolate has a great flavor. I put it in smoothies, coffee, milk, and it even tastes great just in water.
  7. A I checked the labels on my met-rx protein and it does not say vegetarian or have a "V" anywhere on the label. So, I would say it is not vegetarian. You can call the manufacturer.
  8. A It is a mix of concentrate and isolate. Who knows what ratio? But the carb to protein ratio is about 1 to 5. Thats low carb to me. Sure it isn't 100% isolate whey, but MetRx is a top brand.
  9. A El terrible!
  10. A Thank you for your interest in MET-Rx! Amazon is an authorized retailer of our products. We are able to determine the validity of the product through the lot number, which is found next to the expiration date under the container. If you are able to obtain this number, you may contact us directly at 1-800-556-3879, and we can confirm it for you.
  11. A I tried searching for it before and the closest I have found is the result on protein plus: https://labdoor.com/review/met-rx-protein-plusConsidering that even the more expensive protein plus has less protein than what is on the label, I would think that the same can be said for the cheaper Natural Whey. $40 is really very cheap for a 5lb tub: 68 servings x 23g of protein. To be on the safe side, if you purchase this, assume you are only consuming 20 grams of protein per serving. Assuming you are living in the states, Myprotein is a good choice according to Labdoor. They have regular sales and I purchased 5.5lb bags for only $41.
  12. A The Natural Whey Protein, Vanilla (B17770) does not contain vitamin K.
  13. A Thank you for your interest in Met-RX products! We take this issue very seriously as the quality and safety of our products is of the utmost importance. All of the products manufactured using bovine sourced raw materials come only from suppliers providing the required documentation. This documentation is processed following the USDA, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Union guidelines and regulations. In addition, restrictions are placed on which part of the animal may be used for the extraction process. All bovine sourced raw materials are required to be free from any identified Specified Risk Materials such as skulls, brain and spinal cord. Processing restrictions as defined by the European Union and the USDA are followed.
  14. A Thank you for your interest in Met-Rx! We do not recommend mixing our Natural Whey Chocolate Protein Powder with coffee as the heat may denature the protein.
  15. A I have used about 15 different protein powders and this mixes the same. This means if your using a spoon it will not dissolve. You need a blender bottle cup. You can buy a cheap one and that will do the trick. Most powders, this one too, will mix easy with a blender cup. Little warning here, this stuff is the cheapest around for a reason. It's tastes pretty bad, but I don't mind. I mix in a banana and a big scoop of powdered peanut butter and I also use a ninja bullet to blend it. so to answer your question it will not mix with just a spoon. You need a blender bottle or shaker cup!
  16. A yes... taste good
  17. A I noticed a bitter taste also. But I still like the flavor. Could be the Stevia? Not sure, first time I've tried this brand.

  19. A I have both the Vanilla and Chocolate flavors and both containers indicate only "Natural Flavors" and have no indication of any artificial flavors. Also, the sweeteners indicated on the ingredients are Fructose and Stevia Extract (all natural as well). Both flavors are very sweet tasting to me, but they always mix-up well with water (unlike some other natural products I've tried). Furthermore, if you mix in other powder supplements with the Met-Rx, the extra sweetness in this whey covers up some of the supplement bitterness (i.e., BCAA, Creatine, Beta Alanine, Citruline Malate...) really well. BTW, my experience with ON products has not been as good as with this product, in particular the ON Natural Casein is really really really crappy.
  20. A Yes, it is now black. I ordered back when they were red, and have ordered several times after that. All the ones I get now are black. Which looks much better than the ugly af red, not gonna lie.
  21. A MET-Rx - Protein Powder - 100% Natural Whey - VanillaIngredients:1)Whey Protein Concentrate2)Whey Protein Isolate3)Fructose (corn derived sweetener HFCS--likely GMO)4)Natural Flavors (Proprietary--this is where they hide things such as MSG)5)Soy Lecithin (emulsifier/mixer agent--tiny amount--likely GMO soy)Metrx claims it's a non GMO lecithin)6)Stevia Extract (natural sweetener--tiny amounts needed, very sweet non GMO)As part of the standard nutrition label specification, ingredients are listed inorder of their volume going from large to small.Only certified Organic products must use all non GMO ingredients/sourcesThe deal breaker for me is the fructose (high fructose corn sweetener). Nearly allcorn derived products are from GMO (genetically modified organism) corn.If the fructose is not a corn based fruit sugar, the co. would list it as such. The "likely GMO" items further down are tiny amounts and are really hard tofind any products without them.

  23. A Even in animals that are treated with rBST, you're not getting the hormone in the milk since it doesn't make it into the mammary gland. Further, even if trace amounts made it in, it's a peptide and would thus be quickly digested upon entering the gastric and upper duodenal environment.
