Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A Waxy Maize is a complex carbohydrate with a relatively low Glycemic Index that is made from corn and would be somewhat similar to corn starch. The Glycemic index of Waxy Maize is about 70 (slightly higher than oatmeal but far below sugar). This is probably the key ingedient behind why this product works so well. You can literally take a full serving of this product and eat a normal meal 30-60 minutes later. It has proven to be very effective for people that have great difficulty putting on weight on for people going through chemo therapy (to maintain weight).
  2. A California set a limit on lead of .5 micrograms per serving. This product may have between .3 and .6 micrograms. I understand this seems like a lot but there are very few things in nature below this level. By contrast, the limit set by the FDA is 20 micrograms. Most cups of coffee are also over the .5 microgram threshold. Whole Foods have an exemption under the law. This is made from whole foods, however, because it is formulated, it is not exempted.
  3. A Aaron, I was going to answer the email you sent but since you posted here as well, I felt it would be more appropriate to answer your question here. First, we do our absolute best to make sure we convert weight of a product to scoops but there is a lot of variability in scoop weights. We we sell the product based on weight. We have no variance in the weight; you purchased 7lbs of product and you received 7lbs of product. The variance in the weight has to do with a number of factors; how packed the product is in the container and how packed the product is in the scoop. When we take our product weights, we take them when the product is loose in the container; sometimes just shaking the container will accomplish this. When we measure a scoop weight, we are very careful to not touch the sides of the container (to prevent packing the powder into the scoop). We then weigh out about 100 scoops and use pretty basic statistics to determine the weights we place on the label for scoop weights. I do apologize you counted these out and only received 78 scoops but I wanted you to understand how we come up with the weights, why you might see variance and more importantly understand that we sell the product by weight not by scoops.
  4. A It should have at least 18 months until the best buy date. It really never expires as long as it is not exposed to moisture. The date should be on the top of the container. It is written with a laser, so it can be difficult to see.
  5. A No, there is not any creatine in this product. As for calories, it has 600 -608 calories per serving. We formulated this product with a very high protein to carb ratio compared to conventional weight gain products. We have found this product works very well for gaining weight as most people can eat a full meal within about 30 minutes of consuming this product. As a general rule, a weight gainer should not lower normal food intake. If you find yourself eating less real food (with any weight gainer) then start reducing the amount of weight gainer you are taking.
  6. A I have not tried the unflavored, but have been very happy vanilla ultimate gainer. I burn lots of calories cycling and I'm very pleased with the clean calories this product provides. I'm a big fan of MuscleFeast products, top quality at an affordable price!
  7. A The unflavored has 608 calories per serving. Most weight gaines have double or more calories per serving. We a higher protein to carb ratio and 600 calories per serving still allows you to consume normal meals, so this product does not generally replace any meals. Some of the 1200 calories gainers will keep you feeling full for so long, it is difficult to eat anything for hours.
  8. A It is not lactose free as the definition of lactose free means it can contain 0 mg of lactose. There is some lactose in this product but it should be fine for most people with lactose issues. If for some reason it causes you any stomach distress, just let us know and we will refund your purchase.
  9. A There's 100 scoops in that container.Five scoops is one serving. 3 scoop servings were plenty for me. I would actually mix three scoops of it with 1 scoop of my normal protein.Pat
  10. A No, it does not. We actually have an OU Rabbi coming in next week and this product and many others should be OU Kosher certified soon.
  11. A All information is based on a serving, which consists of 5 level scoops.
  12. A It is a 70cc scoop.
